CONNESTEE FALLS FISHING CLUB

Lake Atagahi

Goals: Our community’s fishing club came to life in May, 1980, when a group of 12 property-owning fishermen held their first, informal meeting. The club was subsequently officially chartered as "The Fishing Club of Connestee Falls" in September 1981, with 38 charter members. It now consists of over 600 members, about 20% of whom regularly participate in club activities. The remaining members belong to the club simply to support its objectives, which are to:

  1. Promote good fellowship
  2. Promote the sport of fishing by:
    a. Educating to all levels of proficiency
    b. Promulgating fishing rules and regulations to benefit the community
  3. Offer assistance to the CFPOA in improving lake ecology
  4. Offer assistance in establishing water safety programs
  5. Sponsor fishing programs for all age groups
